It lures you in and makes your belly growl. We were seated right away at a table with comfy leather chairs and a white table cloth. I didn't know Saffron patch was so elegant but it's quite nice. Definitely a romantic atmosphere so I suggest it for a date night.
The waitress brought us water and we also ordered iced tea. It's one of the best iced teas I think I've ever had. It had a hint of lemon to it and I didn't feel the need to sweeten it even though it was unsweetened tea. We went up to the lunch buffet (currently $1. They keep the buffet piping hot. In fact, one of the spoons was touching the edge of the buffet and I went to grab it and I felt the hot steam coming through.

There are also heat lamps above the food. I got a little of everything but I had two favorites. One was brown with potatoes, lentils, veggies, and tasted of warm spices (not hot/spicy).
I poured this over the saffron rice which was delicious all on its own. The second favorite was the saag something- or- other which is spinach based. It had an earthy and tart flavor that I quickly decided I liked. I'm sorry that I can't remember the names of the dishes. I tried so many, it's hard to remember them all. Even though it's a buffet, you really can only eat one plate of food. The plates are huge and the food is very filling.
They also brough naan to the table which was amazing. Nothing better than a hot piece of naan. YUM! Last, we got some of the chai tea from the giant plastic brown container next to the buffet.
If I didn't know what it was, I would have assumed it was coffee because of the coffee mugs next to it but don't be fooled! It's the best chai I've ever had. It already has cream in it so all you need is a tiny packet of sugar and you're good to go.
I had two cups and would have had more if I wasn't so full. I'll be coming back if only for this chai tea! Overall, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Indian food because it has to be done right or it's not worth the price. This place is definitely worth it!
